Save The Children rely on the support of generous people like you to help us improve the lives of children around the world and make sure that every donation counts.
Thanks to thousands of Australians we reached millions of people through our programs last year. This was also made possible through vital support from trusts and foundations, our corporate partners, the Department Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), as well as other Australian Government departments and international governments.
Where the funds go
With nearly 100 years of field experience Save the Children makes sure every dollar donated to us is invested to deliver the best possible outcomes for children at the lowest possible cost.
For every dollar:
- 73 cents is invested to benefit children through our health, education, child protection and humanitarian response programs, and through increasing public awareness of international aid and development issues.
- 12 cents is spent raising the funds we need to deliver these programs.
- 9 cents is spent on making sure we have the talented people, infrastructure and systems we need to manage and deliver our programs for children.
- 6 cents is invested in commercial activities such as our retail stores.
